That Gospel Sermon on the Blessed Hope edition by Dwight Lyman Moody Religion Spirituality eBooks
"My friends," Dwight L. Moody says in this sermon, "it is perfectly safe to take the Word of God as we find it." And it is the Word of God that shows us that our blessed hope is the literal return of our Lord Jesus. Moody emphasizes this over and over again. He uses the Word extensively to answer beliefs that are not in accordance with this doctrine of the Second Coming. This sermon, which Moody preached in the Great Chicago Tabernacle, Jan. 5, 1877, continues to ring out today. Moody's sermons, even read in a book, remain as vibrant and biblically based as ever. Second only to his sermons on salvation through Jesus Christ, his preaching on the Second Coming of the Lord caused revivals. I found myself deeply drawn closer to God by reading this selection.
Near the end of this sermon, he makes this appeal: "'Behold, I come quickly,' said Christ to John, and the last prayer in the Bible is, 'Even so, come Lord Jesus, come quickly.' Now let the question go round, 'Am I ready to meet the Lord if he comes to-night?'"

I enjoyed the simple and direct language being used.
We could use more of that in this era.
A wonderful doctrine to spur the modern church to leave our idols behind, pick up our crosses, and look for the Lord
It's always good to read a great sermon of Pastor Moody. Even though written in the 1800 it's always good he's so powerful and always learn something.
